Aziz Ahmad, President & CEO

Aziz is also co-founder of Vonair Inc, a software provider of video enabled Softclient for the wireline and wireless markets. Previously, Aziz has served as Director of Service Provider Solutions at Thrupoint, where he was responsible for developing and introducing a broad range of IT and Telecommunication solutions. Prior to joining Thrupoint, Aziz managed the network design and development efforts for AT&T Local Services (formerly Teleport Communication Group) in areas of multiservices broadband technology and packetized voice. Aziz has directed the AT&T Local Services team in the NGI (Next Generation Internet) Consortium whose focus was created to research, develop and demonstrate the next generation broadband access network based on IP and Multi-Wavelength optical technology. Aziz began his career at Bankers Trust Company working in Network Engineering roles. He holds B.E. and M.E. degrees in Electrical Engineering from The City College of New York (CUNY). Over the past several years he has served as an adjunct professor at City Technical College (CUNY), and more recently, taught graduate-level courses at Pace University in converging technologies.


Anil Balani, Managing Director, Systems & Technology

Anil is also a co-founder of Vonair Inc, a software provider of video enabled Softclient for the wireline and wireless markets. Prior to founding Vonair, Anil was served a Global Director for VoIP & Video for Carrier and Enterprise Markets at Global Crossing. Anil has founded Mobile Matrix, Inc, a provider of location based RFID solutions and continues as advisor to the company. Previously, Anil was a founding partner at Coreon (an Operations Service Provider), the first U.S. end-to-end managed operations ASP (Applications Service) for the telecommunications market. Prior to founding Coreon, Anil was the lead architect at Teleport (TCG) / AT&T responsible for designing and launching the first managed integrated voice and data service. Anil's previous accomplishments include lead system architect at MCI for its video conferencing platform and remote dial platform. Prior to MCI, Anil was with Texas Instruments developing software and managing the operations production of missiles and has held a Secret Clearance. Anil's education background includes a B.S. & B.E.E. from NYU and Cooper Union, and M.S., MSEE, & MBA from University of Dallas and SMU.

Stan George, Chairman

Previously, Stan was the founding CEO of Coreon Inc. Coreon, was a Kleiner Perkins startup, focused on providing outsourced operations and OSS solutions to emerging carriers. Under Stan’s leadership, Coreon was able to raise $73 Million in funding, employed over 200 people and implemented a complete flow though provisioning systems with state of the art NOCs and Provisioning Centers. Prior to Coreon, Stan was with AT&T as part of acquisition of Teleport Communications Group Inc. (TCG) as VP of Technology and Services Development in the areas of ATM, Frame Relay, IP, TLS, SONET, DWDM, Digital Loop Carriers (DLC), digital cross connect systems, Local Number Portability (LNP) and voicemail systems. Prior to TCG, Mr. G spent five years with Bankers Trust in New York, where he was responsible for designing and maintaining its local and wide area networks, data center and trading floor. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from City College of New York.

Peter Rust

In 1999 he founded Con Edison Communications LLC (an alternative access provider in NYC with its own 300 route mile fiber optic network), as its President and CEO and employee number one. He built the business from the ground up into a $40 million a year company. Prior to his role, Peter was COO for a Bell Atlantic startup, Internetworking and Multimedia Solutions, Inc. . the first Application Service Providers (ASPs) providing Internetworking & Multimedia Solutions’ services included authentication, encryption and directory applications for network access. Previously, Peter held a number of positions with NYNEX and Hewlett Packard. Mr. Rust holds an MBA in Corporate Finance from Adelphi University, a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Polytechnic University of New York and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology/Psychology from Brown University in Rhode Island. Peter was a Director of NEON Communications, Inc., a regional wholesaler of telecommunications services and currently serves as a Director of two non-profit corporations.
